Ever felt an angel's breath in the gentle breeze? A teardrop in the falling rain? Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of leaves? Or been kissed by a lone snowflake? Nature is an angel's favorite hiding place. ~Carrie Latet
If I have freedom in my love,
And in my soul am free,
Angels alone that soar above,
Enjoy such liberty.

The Holy Guardian Angel
Angels have been found in many cultures over thousands of years, pre-dating Christianity. Perhaps it might just be easier to refer to them as celestial beings
To me, they are simply beings on a higher dimensional plane that have never had an earthly form - or any other form on this plane of existence. I see them as sort of gate keepers if you like, making sure all the energies passing through are doing the right thing, attuning energy where needed.
As for personal guardian angels, I do think an angel will 'take on' the responsibility of a life form on this dimension and check in from time to time to ensure all is going to plan. They don't actually interfere, they just check our personal blue prints and give gentle nudges wherever appropriate, to get us back onto our own track. I also think they don't just work with humans, but with all life forms in this realm. And I don't think its one angel per one life, I think each has a multitude of lives they look after. After all, most lives on this planet don't need a lot of looking after! Just us poor humans.
Also, I think they exist outside time, so have plenty of 'time' to do the job at hand. Are they simply angels, guardian angels or holy guardian angels? I think really, its all the same thing. Its use that has this need to categorise and label everything. If an angel isn't looking after people, but looking after earth energies or sea creatures, then we tend to see them as angels, who are someone less important than guardian angels, who look after people, but anyone except us. And holy guardian angel is the one who looks after me personally.

How can you call Angels into your life?
To call angels into your life, simply ask! Angels respond to prayers and thoughts of love. They are only a whisper away. The more you think about angels, the more you call them into your life. Some people find it helpful to have pictures or statues of angels within their home as this assists them to focus on angels. Where intention goes energy flows. As you put your attention on angels they will begin to appear in your life.
From Archangels to your personal guardian angels, right now angels are bridging our physical reality with their pure spiritual energy. The time is right. For within our planetary collective consciousness, we have put out the ‘call’ and the angels have answered in droves. Like a leaf falling softly on the still pool of our consciousness we will recognise their presence. As you trust and open your heart to them, they will pour out their blessings on you. Angels are real! They are a doorway to the divine within yourself. Angels have been waiting for us to be ready and now is the time. Angels are beginning to manifest for humanity. Expect a miracle. Expect an angel.

How can you recognise an Angel?
Angels appear in different forms. Though it seems to be a rare occurrence, the form that most people associate with angels is the traditional church angels with wings. More common however, are angels appearing in human form. These angels appear when needed and then sometimes mysteriously disappear. They take a form which is comforting and pleasing to the individual to whom they appear. They appear as both male and female, young and old, all different races, well dressed and shabbily dressed - no matter what form - they offer guidance and help in a non-intrusive way.
Though the numbers of occurrences of angelic visitations is growing rapidly, most angels aren’t seen but are felt. There are different ways to tell if you are in the presence of an angel. Often the pure scent of flowers accompanies their presence. Sometimes an angel will announce its presence with a slight breeze even if all the windows are closed. The breeze is the flutter of angel wings. Sometimes you’ll hear the faint sound of bells or chimes or trumpets. I believe that the reason for the sound is that when angels break from their dimension into ours there is an accompanying sound. Sometimes an angelic presence is seen as a flash of light but the most common way to tell if you are in the presence of angels is by the warm wave of love that washes over you. If you feel an angel is standing behind you, it most likely is.

What is The Purpose of Angels?
Angels are messengers. They are messengers from spirit allowing us a greater understanding and connection to Spirit. Not only are angels messengers, they are also part of our consciousness, representing realms beyond thought and idea. The human mind needs form, so the Light of Spirit takes on the physical form of an angel, to encourage direct communion with God. We create a dimensional blending that enables them to appear in a form that is acceptable to us.
Throughout history angels have inspired poets, artists, writers, prophets and religious leaders as well as everyday men and women. Angels are associated with higher nature, joy, beauty, fulfilment, laughter and peace.
Angels are here to heal us, to redeem lost faith, broken trust and innocence. They help us lay down the burden of fear, guilt, uncertainty and pain. They help replace feelings of unworthiness with joy as they help us gently enter the world of love.
Angels are different from guides in that they have not lived an Earth time existence; angels are of the stars and heavens, guides are of the Earth. They are divine beings who have not experienced the Earth plane in a human body. They do not have karma or evolutionary issues to work out from having lived on Earth. Angels are celestial beings of a higher vibrational level than guides.
From nature angels and angelic messengers, to your own personal guardian angel, there are many different kinds of angels and each serve a specific function in your life. A nature angel is guardian or protector of a particular area on Earth such as a mountain. Archangels such as Michael with his sword of truth, serve as guardians for the entire planet. Messenger angels are angels that sometimes take on human form for short periods to give you a message, offer help in times of danger or teach you an important lesson. A guardian angel is your personal protector that is looking over you always. Your guardian is a very special kind of angel that is with you from the moment you are born to help you move towards the light.

Cupid the god of love
While not a real Angel, Cupid was the God of Love to ancient Romans, and many cultures believed in his powers. Even in the modern world, references to Cupid and his bow and arrows of love are found everywhere, especially on Valentine’s Day.
Cupid was not originally the cherubic, happy little angel that we think of today. In his original incarnation, he was a very mischievous, sometimes dark god of love and desire who enjoyed matching "odd couples" and seeing how they worked out.
Cupid eventually fell under his own spell of odd matches. He fell in love with Psyche, a mortal. In the Greek language, Psyche means "butterfly" and also means "soul". In many ways, what Psyche goes through is symbolic of the path of each woman’s soul in life.
Cupid had actually been sent by his jealous mother, Venus, to punish Psyche for her beauty. Instead, he fell in love with her. He arranged to have her brought to his mountain home to live with him, but he hid his identity from her, only visiting her at night. Their time together was so tender and full of gentle talk that Psyche fell in love with Cupid, without ever seeing him.
Psyche’s jealous sisters were angered by her wealth and love, and convinced Psyche that her lover must be a monster to so hide himself. The sisters persuaded her to sneak up on him after he left her one evening, armed with a knife. He awoke and saw her there, and said sadly, "I inflict no other punishment on you than to leave you forever. Love cannot dwell with suspicion."
Psyche realized how foolish she’d been, and decided the only way to be with Cupid again was to go talk to Venus and ask for her blessing. Venus was delighted at having Psyche kneeling down before her, and set forth many tasks for Psyche to perform to prove her worthiness. Each task was more difficult and dangerous, but in each case a God stepped in to assist her. Finally Psyche and Cupid were allowed to be married. They were very happy together, and had a child, named Pleasure.
Bring cupid into your life by drawing hearts with arrows in them on the steamy morning bathroom mirrors, or by signing your letters and notes with the symbol!

Angels: What are they?
There are many types of angels all over the world Many religions have different means of what an angel is, and different roles for them. Angelos is the Greek term from which the term angel came from.

Angels are depicted in many ways throughout popular culture. They are identified as chubby babies with little wings, beautiful women with feathered wings, and men of military strength with flowing robes of white.
Angels are energetic manifestationa and vibratory expressions of the qualities of the divine. They awaken our consciousness to the presence of the divine that all ready exists in each and every human being. By connecting with them we activate aspects of the divine within us.
